More than 12 road sections across Nepal have been obstructed by floods and landslides triggered by continuous rainfall over the past three days, disrupting transportation in several parts of the country.

According to Nepal Police Headquarters, the Prithvi Highway has been completely blocked in both directions at Parewabhir in Gajuri Rural Municipality-2 of Dhading district following a landslide.

The BP Highway has also been completely obstructed in Kavrepalanchok. Traffic has been halted between Pinthali in Roshi Rural Municipality-9 and Gimdibesi in Ward No. 8 after debris from a seasonal stream accumulated along the road.

Other affected routes include the Karnali Highway at Aulise in Surkhet, the Khotang section of the Mid-Hill Highway, and sections of the Kaligandaki Corridor in Gulmi and Palpa.

Flooding has also disrupted traffic along the Bagmati River Corridor in Lalitpur and the Kanti Lokpath. The Nagma-Gamgadhi road section in Mugu has also been reported blocked.

The continued rainfall has increased concerns about further landslides and transportation disruptions. Authorities have urged travelers to check road conditions before starting their journeys.

People travelling through affected areas are advised to avoid unnecessary journeys and follow updates from local authorities and Nepal Police.

The road situation may change as weather conditions improve and clearance operations progress.
