A platform for Nepali cricket
The Nepal Premier League provides a franchise-based platform for domestic players to compete and gain experience alongside international cricketers. The tournament also attracts supporters from across the country, with regional franchises giving fans teams to follow throughout the season.
The presence of overseas players and coaches has helped draw attention to Nepal’s domestic T20 competition. For local players, the league provides opportunities to perform under pressure, compete in a professional team environment and gain exposure to different playing styles.
Tournament continues through November 21
The third edition of the NPL is scheduled to run through November 21, with matches taking place at the TU International Cricket Ground in Kirtipur. The eight teams will compete during the tournament before the final stages determine the season’s champion.
